RYA Powerboat Level 1 – An Introduction to Powerboating
An essential course if you have a powerboat or you intend to drive one, providing the knowledge to carry out basic boat manoeuvres more info

RYA Powerboat Level 2 – The National Powerboat Certificate
Including the RYA Level 1 syllabus and building on it by providing you with a sound knowledge of driving a powerboat at high and low speeds, coming alongside, anchoring and man overboard techniques. It also leaves you open to obtaining your International Certificate of Competence (recognised in Europe) and is a requirement for those that want to work within the watersports industry more info

Previous experience – Candidates should have the equivalent of at least 6 months powerboat handling experience more info

NEW RYA Intermediate Course – Powerboat Day Cruising
This course covers coastal powerboat training by day with focus on traditional chart work and the use of GPS for high-speed navigation and pilotage. Students are expected to plan and execute their own passages which make this course the perfect knowledge builder after RYA Level 2 more info

For the experienced power boater providing additional skills such as rough water handling and night navigation more info

RYA Powerboat CEVNI Tests – Inland waters certificate/ ICC
A written test for those that want to use their craft on inland waterways in the UK or in Europe. The test is based on the CEVNI rules (European Inland Waterways regulations). This is a mulitple choice question paper based on the rules laid out in the book ‘Euroregs for Inland Waterways.’ If you require your ICC to cover you for using your craft on Inland waters then this is the test for you more info

Shorebased – RYA/MCA VHF/SRC/GMDSS Certificate
Holding your marine radio certificate is a legal requirement for all VHF users. The course is just single day, but covers all the information in a fun, practical way so that you can use your VHF comfortably out on the water. GMDSS update With the new GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety system) which is now in nearly all fixed VHF sets, it means we all need to update our knowledge. We therefore offer a GMDSS update course, which is just half a day so that you will beable to update your knowledge and original VHF certificate to cover its uses more info

RYA Radar Course
Powerboats, yachts and motorcruisers increasingly have radars onboard. The International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea state that if you have a radar onboard, you must know how to use it.
