Determining Your Training Needs.

A member of our team will assist you in determining your goals and can build a training programme to attain them, whether it be sailing, powerboat, or motor cruising.
RYA Powerboat Scheme - For engine powered boats under 10 metres in length Usually fitted with an outboard engine but jet boats and boats with inboard engines can also be covered by this shceme
RYA Motor Cruising Scheme - For boats of 10 - 24 metres in length. Again this can cover all types of vessel but typically this will cover cabined boats. Typically with in board engines.
RYA Sail Cruising Scheme - For yachts of 10 - 24 metres
RYA Powerboat Scheme Courses
The powerboating scheme can be entered at any level providing candidates have the relevant knowledge and experience. Click on the relevant course for more information.
RYA Level 1 - a one day introduction for ideal for younger candidates and those wanting a taster of the sport.
RYA Level 2 - a two day course, ideal for those looking to gain their first accreditaion with in powerboating, boat owners and potential owners.
RYA Intermmediate Powerboat - a two day course for those already familiar with powerboating but looking to go further afield on day cruises.
RYA Advanced Powerboat - 2 days + 1 evening. This course builds on existing day cruising knowledge to cover night navigation and exeucting a night passage.
RYA Safety Boat - 2 day course. Ideal for those working in the industry or for sailing clubs. Covers techniques and considerations for recovering, windsurfers, kayakers, dinghy sailors and their vessels from the water. Must hold powerboat level 2 certificate.
Powerboat Instructor - qualifies candidates to instruct powerboating at levels 1 and 2.
Advanced Powerboat Instructor - qualifies existing powerboat instructors to teach all levels of the powerboat scheme
RYA Motor Cruising Scheme
RYA Helmsman Course - 2 day introduction course
RYA Day Skipper Practical - 4 day course pracitical for those with some previouse experience.
RYA Coastal Skipper - 5 day course. Suitable for those who have acquired experience and knowledge to day skipper level.
RYA Yachtmaster Exam Prep - Training designed to prepare for those looking to undertake their Yachtmaster certifiate of competence. Tuition is flexible and tailored to individual needs to work on any specific areas candidates may require. This is not a formal or certificated course.
