A FULL day of fun and professional jetski training, this RYA jetski course is run predominantly on the water. Jetski training will equip you with all the essential skills and knowledge to gain the RYA PWC Proficiency Certificate and be a safe and competent jetskier. The certificate is increasingly required by harbour and port authorities for the use of jetskis and many insurance companies also offer lower insurance premiums to those who hold the certificate whilst those wishing to use jetskis abroad will be required to hold the ICC (International Certificate of Competence), acquired from the RYA on successful completion of the course.
At the end of this exhilarating and informative day you will know how to get the best out of your jetski.
No previous experience is required but children must be age 12 or over, and those under 16 will receive an endorsed certificate.

RYA PWC Course information sheet
RYA PWC Instructor
A three day course which, on successful completion, allows the individual to teach the RYA PWC Proficiency Course at RYA recognised training centres. The course will coach you through instructional techniques for both practical and theory aspects of the proficiency course, whilst giving guidance on safety and insurance considerations for students, vessels and self.
Candidates attending the course will have several years riding experience, and a good understanding of navigation and theory, preferrably above the level taught on the PWC Proficiency course (ideally to Day Skipper theory), along with a thorough knowledge of the PWC Proficiency course. All candidates are required to hold the PWC Proficiency Certificate and a current 1st Aid Certificate before enrolling.
A one day course for those already holding the RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification looking to also qualify as PWC Instructors. The course builds upon your existing instructional techniques and knowledge to give the extra considerations and skills required to teach the PWC Proficiency course. Course Dates & Prices

Jetskis - Personal Watercraft Theft Prevention
Consisting of a range of electronic transponders, microdots and visible ID labels that contain a unique identification number, the Datatag Marine Theft Protection Kit makes your boat and equipment easy to identify - and therefore much less attractive to thieves. All the Police have to do is scan any suspect equipment, access the Datatag computer and they can confirm the name and address of the registered keeper within minutes.
Since its introduction in the early 1990s Datatag has slashed theft rates of Datatagged motorcycles and Personal Watercraft. At the same time the recovery rates for stolen equipment have soared, and numerous convictions have been secured thanks to Datatag.
Due to the effectiveness of Datatag, all manufacturers fit this as standard in the UK. You may find that you will not be allowed access to some slipways without having a Datatag system fitted, or being the current registered owner.
Uniquely in the PWC world, Datatag also acts as the main form of registration. This allows PWC clubs, insurers and Marine Authorities (Police and Harbour Masters) to verify ownership of a craft from both Visible ID numbers and the Datatag transponders (more commonly called RFID, Radio Frequency Identification).
Datatag is a founder member of the the PWP (Personal Watercraft Partnership) which works hard to maintain slipway access for and on behalf of PWC users, as well as working with Local Authorities, Marine Police, Harbour Masters and Jet Ski Clubs to promote and protect the future of the sport.
