RYA Courses. Ideal for those wishing to progress their sailing ( power or sail) with a methodical and comprehensive syllabus, and for those requiring certification, including the ICC. Candidates can join at any level according to experience, although many find it beneficial to progress in line with the relevant RYA Schemes as each step builds on previously acquired knowledge. Courses fall into training schemes relevant to vessel types. If you are unfamiliar with the schemes and the courses the below table is designed to help.select the course best suiting your needs.
RYA Powerboat Scheme -engine powered boats under 10 metres in length, including ribs, small sports boats, jet boats and launches
RYA Motor Cruising - engine powered boats 10 - 24 metres
RYA Sail Cruising Scheme - sailing yachts of 10 - 24 metres
RYA Shorebased Courses - theory / shorebased courses for sail and power designed to compliment your practical courses.
