The Team
"Highly Qualified, Professional & Experienced but Above All Friendly "
Sharon Clark Director
" Absolute Aqua is something I believe in and that is due to the ethos behind Ian's desire to train people in this field. Having been introduced to the world of powerboat instruction by his closest friend, a RNLI coxswain, who was tragically lost on a voyage, it has been Ian's wish to provide affordable training to everyone, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to enjoy boating safely and competently. Hence in 2008 I was pleased to enter this venture with Ian. Absolute Aqua is not just a training school it's a passion and I couldn't have been luckier in having Ian to be the face of Absolute Aqua. "

Our team of highly qualified instructors deliver courses and training to an extremely high standard and are experienced in all fields of water sports; jetski, powerboating, motorcruising, and sailing. Led by our School Principal Ian Poole ( Yachtmaster in sail and power), the team have a wealth of experience not only in instructing but in ownership, racing, long distance voyages and boat maintenace, making them well placed to answer questions across the board and not just on tuition.
Ian Poole
School Principal
A commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Instructor for motor cruising, a commercially endorsed yachtmaster of sail, sail cruising Instructor and an RYA Powerboat Trainer.
Ian would like to claim Poole Harbour was named after him. Whilst he holds a wealth of experience to be envied, as an owner, commercially endorsed skipper and instructor, there's still many an old seaman that can teach him a thing or too! As Ian would say himself " Every day is a school day" as he continues to gain credits to his name.
Teaching is a passion for Ian and taking over the helm of the school as Principal in 2008 his motives are very much driven from the heart, with the desire to make boating the best, the most enjoyable and a safer experience for all.

He instructs PWC and Powerboat courses up to Advanced level and as a Yachtmaster instructor, teaches Yachtmaster practical and shore based.courses Don is also our Radar instructor.
He has a low grin threshold and believes that people learn best from knowing they're safe, respected, and having fun while on a course !
Nick Rolf

Nick has worked as a freelance instructor with us for two years now and we are delighted to say that we helped to get him started on his RYA instructor career path.
Since then Nick has started to amass instructor tickets like some people collect stamps. He is currently qualified to teach up to Advanced Powerboat, Safety Boat, PWC, VHF, First Aid and the inland CEVNI accreditation.
In January 2010, Nick will be undertaking his shore based instructors ticket which will allow him to teach the RYA's Basic Navigation & Safety and the Day Skipper theory courses. Nick firmly believes that the secret to running a good course and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction is the perpetual supply of donuts - what else do you need to know?
Glen Mallen

Glen's accreditations wont fit on the small area we have to write here - and that's no joke !
As a freelance instructor Glen fits RYA courses in around his full time job with the RNLI. His enthusiasm and love for which has no comparsison, to which all his students will pay testament to that.
Glen is highly regarded in the industry as a RYA Trainer ( he teaches our teachers!). His humoour, human touch is a real winner with instructor candidates who never fail to be amazed at how much they learn.
