The team have a wealth of experience not only in instructing but in ownership, racing, long distance voyages and boat maintenance, making them well placed to answer questions across the board and not just on tuition.

Dave Tuck
Chief Instructor
He'll hate us for this picture but we just couldn't resist!
A trainer for the RNLI, Dave is an integral and long standing member of our team. Don't be fooled by his youthful looks! Teaching a wide range of subjects including, the RYA Powerboat scheme Level 1 and 2, Intermediate and Advanced, VHF Radio, 1st Aid and Jetski. Dave's enthusiasm and knowledge for all he teaches never fails to inspire his students and the smile is just as infectious! With such boundless energy Dave's a natural on the water so it's no wonder that he is also a PADI instructor and RYA windsurf and dinghly instructor.
Nick Rolf
Instructor
Nick has worked as a freelance instructor with us for two years now and we are delighted to say that we helped to get him started on his RYA instructor career path.
He is currently qualified to teach up to Advanced Powerboat, Safety Boat, PWC, VHF, First Aid and the inland CEVNI accreditation.
In January 2010, Nick undertook his shore-based instructors ticket which will allow him to teach the RYA's Basic Navigation & Safety and the Day Skipper theory courses. Nick firmly believes that the secret to running a good course and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction is the perpetual supply of doughnuts - what else do you need to know?
Glen Mallen
Instructor
Glen's accreditations won't fit on the small area we have to write here - and that's no joke!
As a freelance instructor Glen fits RYA courses around his full time job with the RNLI. His enthusiasm and love for which has no comparison, to which all his students will pay testament to.
Glen is highly regarded in the industry as an RYA Trainer (he teaches our teachers!). His humour and human touch is a real winner with instructor candidates who never fail to be amazed at how much they learn.
Sophie Walker
Instructor
After graduating from college, Sophie worked at a number of high profile sailing schools within the UK and Europe. During this time she gained numerous qualifications and became a Powerboat Instructor with Absolute Aqua at the beginning of 2009.
Sophie is also a Sailing and Windsurfing Instructor and races competitively in her classic 1938 keelboat at various regattas in Poole and the Solent. If you are lucky enough to get Sophie as your instructor, you are guaranteed a lot of fun and laughter, both on the course and in the club bar afterwards!
Rick Fry

Rick is always on the go, whether it be on the water, climbing and diving, either for leisure or in a working capacity.Having worked on and around boats for most of his life he is a much valued member of the Absolute Aqua team as a Powerboat Instructor.
His understanding and knowledge of the water is enhanced by his years of experience in the boating industry, his diving (also a qualified instructor and commercial diver) and as a part time leader of a mountain rescue team you couldn't be in safer hands!
